Understanding and Assessing Your Needs
BurCom helps customers through the "why" and "what" questions in the early stages of the buying cycle to define what you need from your software solution. We will help you perform a thorough GAP Analysis to determine what steps your company must take to get from your current state to your desired future state. We will evaluate your work processes and outline how your ERP solution can specifically address your challenges in critical areas such as compliance, productivity, profitability, decision-making, collaboration, scalability and organizational growth. We also document any changes that have occurred since systems were last updated including your software suppliers, IT platform, M&A growth, aging systems, legislative requirements, administrative constraints, business processes and infrastructure.
Additionally, we'll document your organizational needs through your ERP implementation such as software options relative to level of integration, the need for a staged approach, your organization's growth rate and future needs, delivery options (on premise, cloud, hybrid), level of outsourcing required, financing options, required functionality, accessibility and customer support enhancements.

Defining Requirements, Specifications and Relationships
Working closely with your team, we will define the functionality and modules for your system considering all of your "must have" items and your "would like to have" items with specifics about individual or domain functionality needs. BurCom also helps you determine your resource requirements including in-house, temporary and outsourced support. You'll engage with demonstration sites early in the process giving you an opportunity to understand the look and feel of your software as well as Sage's road map for future development.
BurCom provides a detailed proposal outlining how we, and you, will support the project, along with estimates of the total cost of ownership, parameters of our engagement and references or specific demo requirements.
Implementing Your Software Solution
The implementation of your solution is the most important element of the buying cycle. This stage includes the development of a plan for the management of resources, governance, risk appetite, communications and the closing/handover meeting. We will help you architect a tailored solution and provide a detailed Statement of Work (SOW) outlining agreed upon deliverables, risks, controls and pricing.
Our disciplined approach to project management encompasses pre-project, project and post-project phases. You will work closely with a dedicated project manager who will keep you informed with regular updates on progress, changes, deliverables and any risk issues. At the close of the project, we will review the project successes and discuss all feedback and lessons learned.
